World Health Day

To mark World Health Day, BN Welfare Foundation, in collaboration with IMPAct4Nutrition—a national platform incubated by UNICEF India—organized an engaging and insightful session titled “Health and Nutrition at the Workplace.” The event brought together employees, nutrition experts, and wellness advocates to promote a healthier, more informed work culture.

The session was designed to be both educational and practical. It featured live recipe demonstrations led by a certified nutritionist, showcasing how healthy meals can be both easy to prepare and delicious. Participants also underwent BMI (Body Mass Index) checkups, helping them gain a clearer understanding of their own health status and risk factors. The interactive component of the workshop included in-depth discussions on lifestyle diseases such as diabetes,  obesity, and hypertension, with experts breaking down the root causes and offering realistic, sustainable solutions.

One of the key highlights of the session was a tutorial on how to read and understand food labels, enabling participants to make more informed dietary choices in their everyday lives. The emphasis throughout the session was on simple, consistent habits—small changes that can lead to significant long-term benefits.

This initiative reinforced the message that health is a shared responsibility, and that creating a supportive and informed workplace can lead to a ripple effect of wellness in families and communities. It was a powerful reminder that awareness is the first step toward wellness, and that with the right tools and knowledge, every individual can take charge of their own health journey.
