World Earth Day
To commemorate World Earth Day, BNWF, in collaboration with the Vishalakshi Foundation, organized a large-scale Plogathon at Central Ridge Forest in Delhi — one of the city’s vital green lungs. This impactful event brought together over 500 enthusiastic volunteers, including students from various Delhi University and GGSIPU colleges, as well as BNWF’s own dedicated employees. United by a shared commitment to the environment, participants worked together to collect nearly 5,000 kilograms of waste, cleaning forest trails and promoting a sense of environmental responsibility.
The event was made even more special with the presence of Mr. Ramveer Tanwar, affectionately known as The Pond Man of India. His inspiring journey of reviving dying water bodies across the country resonated deeply with the audience, reinforcing the message that sustainable change begins with small, consistent actions.
This collective act of environmental stewardship was more than just a cleanup — it was a powerful reminder of our individual and shared responsibility toward the planet. It showcased how community-driven efforts, especially by youth and civic-minded organizations, can contribute meaningfully to combating pollution and restoring ecological balance. Through this initiative, BNWF encouraged everyone to take one step at a time toward a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
